Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Saturday slammed Pulse Asia’s latest survey on President Rodrigo Duterte’s trust rating.
In a Facebook post, the senator recalled how he was ranked by the public opinion polling body two weeks before the 2007 Senatorial Elections.
“Sabi ng survey nila, ako ay Rank #20 (16-21). Pero kinalaunan, nanalo ako na Rank #11 kahit na nadaya pa sa ilang probinsya,” Senator Trillanes said via his Facebook account.
Trillanes also left a statement questioning the credibility of the survey by the polling body – “Ngayon, papaniwalaan mo pa ba ang 88% Trust Rating nila kay Duterte?”
According to a survey conducted by Pulse Asia from June 15 to 21 this year, Duterte earned an approval rating of 88 percent, eight points higher than his record in March.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Friday expressed gratitude for the trust and confidence that the public is giving to the performance of Duterte.
“The President views these latest survey results with all humility; however, he is not leading the country for the sake of high or good ratings,” he said.
